Intro to Scent Work with Caroline Oldham Working Spot
Come join us for an exciting sport cent detection event with the talented Caroline Oldham! This in-person workshop will be held at Top Dog Texas, where you and your dog can learn all about the fascinating world of scent work. Caroline will guide you through the basics and help you and your pup develop your skills in this fun and engaging activity that has really taken the sport world of dog training by storm over the last decade. Don't miss out on this awesome opportunity!
Caroline's Qualifications: AKC Scentwork Judge, UKC Nosework Judge, USCSS Judge, ASCA Scent Detection Judge, C-Wags Rally, Obedience and Scentwork Judge, AKC CGC Evaluator, UKC SPOT Evaluator
Lunch will be provided by Top Dog Texas.
Please bring your own crate for your dog.

More about your instructor: Caroline Oldham has trained and competed with dogs since 2004, participating in Scent Work, Nosework, Rally, Obedience, Dock Diving, and Shed Hunt. She has put five personal dogs through scent training and competition, finishing the AKC Detective Title with Katie, her Belgian Malinois and NW3 and several Detective legs with her Labrador Retriever, Rebarre. She holds judging licenses with AKC, UKC, C-WAGS, ASCA and USCSS. She has currently judged over 155 AKC Scent Work trials and finds huge satisfaction in presenting first Qualifying Scores to brand new competitors as well as challenging the seasoned teams. Caroline is the owner of Southern DFW Scent Training in Midlothian, TX, where she hosts over 35 teams a week to extensive training sessions in foundations through trial preparation focusing on the exposure piece.
Her motto, "It's All About the Journey" is manifested by not only focusing on solid skills and technique, but strengthening the bond with the canine teammate by focusing on relationship, rewards, motivation of both dog an handler, dog language, and the dog's perception of the sport.
