Spooky Slime Lab: Kids’ Halloween Craft Party
About this Event
Get ready for ooey, gooey, spooky fun at our Halloween Slime Lab!
Kids will become slime scientists as they mix, squish, and customize their very own Halloween-themed slime to take home. We'll provide everything they need to create a one-of-a-kind slime creation!
Each child will make their own slime and choose from:
- Glow-in-the-dark add-ins
- Spooky colors
- Glitter, foam beads, and fun mix-ins
- Scent options
Ticket Information:
Each child attending must have a paid child's ticket. At least one responsible adult must be present throughout the event for each group of children. Adults accompanying children must register for a free adult ticket, as space is limited and we need to plan accordingly. Additional adults beyond the required chaperone must also register for a free adult ticket. Adults are expected to assist their children with the slime-making process as needed. If an adult would like to make their own slime, they must purchase a regular child's ticket.

Welcome & Introduction
Info: A warm welcome to Artsome and a quick introduction to the slime-making process. We’ll go over the ingredients, safety tips, and what each child will be making.

Mixing the Slime Base with Color & Scent
Info: Kids will measure and pour their glue and water into a mixing bowl, then choose their slime color and add a scent. They'll stir until everything is fully mixed and evenly combined.

Adding Activator
Info: We'll guide kids as they slowly add the activator to their mixture while stirring. They'll watch their slime begin to form and pull away from the bowl.

Kneading & Stretching
Info: Once the slime has formed, kids will take it out of the bowl and begin kneading and stretching until it reaches the perfect texture. We'll show them how to test for consistency and troubleshoot if it's too sticky or too firm.

Adding Mix-Ins
Info: Now for the fun extras! Kids will fold in their chosen mix-ins, such as glitter, foam beads, or glow-in-the-dark powder, and knead until evenly distributed.

Slime Playtime
Info: Time to enjoy their creation! Kids can stretch, squish, roll, and experiment with their slime. We'll provide small tools and accessories for extra play.

Wrap-Up & Clean-Up
Info: We'll help kids transfer their slime into take-home containers. We'll also share information about upcoming classes, parties, and craft kits. A quick clean-up and we're done!
