Our Spins & Turns Technique Workshop with Carolyn is a special 2-hour deep dive designed to help dancers build cleaner, more balanced, and more controlled turns.
Do your turns sometimes feel effortless—and other times completely unpredictable? We’ll break down what makes a turn feel stable and controlled: how to stay centered, create the right amount of momentum, finish cleanly, and make your turns more consistent instead of hit-or-miss. Through focused drills and common salsa turn variations, you’ll develop technique you can apply immediately in your dancing.
Designed for both leads and follows, this workshop focuses primarily on developing your own turn technique through solo drills and salsa-based applications, rather than learning partnerwork spin patterns.
We’ll use salsa as our primary movement and musical framework, while working with principles that carry into other partner-dance styles as well.
Perfect for dancers who want better balance and control, cleaner and more consistent turns, and greater confidence with faster or repeated rotations.
