Spike Print Fair: Preview Night

Spike Island, Spike Print Studio and Centre for Print Research (CFPR), UWE Bristol. are delighted to announce the launch of Spike Print Fair, a new three-day event celebrating contemporary printmaking, taking place from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 July 2026.

Part of Spike Island 50, a year-long programme marking 50 years since the organisation was founded as Artspace Bristol in 1976, the fair will bring together independent printmakers, artists, illustrators, designers and small presses from across the UK for a vibrant weekend of exhibitions, talks, workshops and affordable art.

Hosted throughout Spike Island's historic former tea-packing factory on Bristol's harbourside, visitors will have the opportunity to browse and buy original artworks, limited-edition prints, artist books, zines and printed ephemera directly from the people who make them. The fair showcases a wide range of print practices, from traditional techniques such as etching, screenprinting and woodcut to experimental and contemporary approaches.

Whether you're a seasoned collector, looking for an affordable first artwork, or simply curious about printmaking, Spike Print Fair offers a welcoming and accessible entry point into the world of contemporary art.
