A youth-led photography exhibition launch event exploring identity, migration, and what it means to be British today.
About this Event

At a time when conversations about immigration, belonging, and national identity are becoming louder and more divisive, a group of young people are asking: What does it really mean to be British? Who gets to belong here?

Being Brit-ish is a youth-led photography exhibition exploring identity, culture, migration, and belonging in modern Britain. Created by Culture Shock, a youth social action group at Babbasa, this project challenges narrow ideas of Britishness and celebrates the cultures, histories, and communities that shape the country today. The title reflects the idea that British identity has never been one single thing. It has always been shaped, influenced, and enriched by people, traditions, and cultures from around the world.

This launch event has been created by young people for young people, educators, artists and creatives and the wider community: come join us for powerful photography, performances, poetry, a panel discussion, and please feel free to dress up in your cultural clothes!

Let's celebrate a more inclusive vision of Britain! ????
