About this Event
Want to dramatically improve your handgun skills? Learn how to safely use a holster? Acquire the skills necessary to safely move with your handgun while engaging multiple targets with multiple rounds? Shoot over stuff, around stuff, negotiate barricades and other obstacles all while keeping your handgun topped up by performing reloads at speed? Or maybe you’ve always wanted to participate in IPSC matches and have just been waiting for your chance? If this is you, please join us on September 21 & 22 for the IPSC Canada National Training Program’s Black Badge class at SPFGA!
The Black Badge certification is recognized across Canada as one of the best handgun training opportunities available. It is required for anyone wanting to participate in sanctioned IPSC matches but the Black Badge is open to anyone who wants to improve their handgun shooting skills and have a ton of fun in the process! You need to take the class to shoot matches, but shooting matches aren't required to take the class!

- IPSC Canada membership - IPSC Canada now requires that attendees of this course have a membership in their organization prior to taking this class. (Please note: this is an IPSC Canada stipulation, SPFGA has no involvement in this decision.) Black Badge instructors are now required to verify that all students have obtained an 'Associate Membership' from their local IPSC Section (in this case IPSC Alberta) prior to accepting course registrations. This change was necessary to ensure that all participants in the Black Badge class are covered by IPSC (in this case Alberta's) insurance. Please note that the required 'Associate Membership' must be purchased directly from IPSC Alberta and its purchase price does not make up part of the Black Badge course fee. If you would like to join the upcoming Black Badge class please start by visiting the IPSC Alberta website to sign up for an ' Individual-Associate' membership.
