Teens! Join Bucks Learning Cooperative for a special Indigenous People’s Day celebration! This is open for teenagers ages 12 to 18 years old. This event is free.
We’ll spend the day learning, reflecting, and connecting through presentations, cultural sharing, and film.
Agenda for the Day
9:30–10:30 AM: Presentation by staff Eileen Smyth and history Teacher Marc Epstein: “Coming to Terms with the Past: European and American Cultures Confront Their Treatment of Indigenous Peoples in the Post-Colonial Era”
10:30 AM–12:00 PM: Gathering with Chief Barbara “Bluejay” Michalski (read her bio here)
12:00–1:00 PM: Potluck with Indigenous themed foods
1:00–3:00 PM: Movie screening (Smoke Signals or The Fast Runner)
