Join Martin Almiron and I in SouthCenter on Tuesday, July 7th for two very special workshops and mini practica! Plenty of parking, AC in the studio.
6:30-8pm Using Dramatic Quality in a Social Setting: All the world is, in fact, not a stage, when it comes to social tango 😅 How do we infuse drama, intrigue, tension and release into our quality of movement while maintaining the connection, and keeping the focus on us as a couple? Let’s talk about it! We’ll look at appropriate sequences for dramatic tangos in a social setting, jam-pack them with quality, and discuss how to improvise the situation (lead and follow) in the present moment.
8-9pm What’s Cool About Vals?: We are going beyond some cool vals figures into vals mood- effortless timing, attitude, what separates it from the other tandas in the milonga and how to find flow, contrast and dynamics.
9-10pm Mini Practica-Open lab: Music is on, we are there to answer questions.
$30 for each individual workshop, $45 for both, will include the mini practica.
No partner required.
Some experience with tango is encouraged.

Drop-ins will be welcomed. Cash and venmo accepted.
