Special Surry Hills Fundraiser Walk

This special fundaiser walking tour will be led by Tone Wheeler, architect and President of the Australian Architecture Association.

This 2-hour tour will visit Surry Hills North of Foveaux St (NOFO) and includes the tiniest terrace houses, through factory buildings to funky warehouse conversions to contemporary apartment buildings, historic schools and courts, churches, new hotels, and the conversion of not one, but two former hospitals (St Margaret’s and the Women’s). And a dollop of brutalism.

Instructions

Please arrive at the start point 5 to 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Bring a hat and/or umbrella - tours operate regardless of weather. Please wear comfortable shoes.

In consideration of everyones health, please do not attend if you are feeling unwell.
