The community is invited to gather for our second Speak Our Truth Project Rally: Youth Voices for Justice on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 12:00 pm-4:00 pm at Tolson Center for Community Excellence (1320 Benham Ave. Elkhart, IN 46516). Rio’s Rainbow alongside several local grassroots organizations for child safety and human rights have partnered to co-host this significant gathering to honor the three-year anniversary of the passing of Rio Allred and all the children and individuals lost to suicide, systemic abuse, and violence. Social problems require a united social movement of people from every background, beyond race, social or political status, and religion. This is a family friendly event of community empowerment, truth-telling, and solidarity.
This gathering will have a dynamic line-up of youth and young adult speakers and performers (ages 12-24yrs old) called to share their stories and talents in our mission for change and justice within child safety and human rights in Indiana; followed by a Community Advocate Q&A Panel of local advocates to answer and engage youth and community questions surrounding our movement and current legislative efforts for child safety and human rights in our state. Spanish translation will also be provided.
In addition, we will have a Speak Your Truth Booth for individuals called to share their own stories, free family fun basket raffle giveaways, music by DJ Certified Grind, dancing, crafts by Parks & Rec., family games (including VR), bounce houses, inflatable basketball, football, & axe throwing, free face painting and henna tattoos, youth yoga, community resource providers, and lunch will be provided. (The first 100 adults/families will also receive a donated box of food from Church Community Services, if interested).

Se invita a la comunidad a reunirse para nuestro segundo mitin del proyecto Speak Our Truth: Youth Voices for Justice el sábado 15 de marzo de 2025, de 12:00 p.m. a 4:00 p.m. en el Centro Tolson para la Excelencia Comunitaria (1320 Benham Ave. Elkhart, IN 46516). También se proporcionará traducción al español.
Además, tendremos un puesto de Speak Your Truth para las personas llamadas a compartir sus propias historias, sorteos gratuitos de canastas de diversión familiar, música de DJ Certified Grind, baile, manualidades de Parks & Rec., juegos familiares (incluida la realidad virtual), casas inflables, baloncesto inflable, fútbol americano y lanzamiento de hachas, pintura facial y tatuajes de henna gratuitos, yoga juvenil, proveedores de recursos comunitarios, y se proporcionará almuerzo. (Los primeros 100 adultos/familias también recibirán una caja de alimentos donada por los Servicios Comunitarios de la Iglesia, si están interesados).
