The Spatial Gathering listening session are curated listening experience, bringing together live performances, fixed media, and composed works designed specifically for spatial sound systems. The Spatial Gatherings are a space to sit, listen deeply, and experience audio beyond the stereo field.

This months gathering features Swansea based audio visual artists and electronic musicians Movement 81 for an new performance.

This performance uses live camera analysis to capture colour data from the surrounding site, translating calibrated colour visuals into generated sound. Using Python, Ableton Live, and Eurorack modular syntheses, these visual signals are converted into evolving tones, textures and beats, creating a responsive soundscape shaped by the environment in real time.
