Have you ever wanted to learn how to swing dance? Or have you been dancing for a while and want to dance some more?!
Then join us as we start back with our Fundamentals classes, every Friday night until December!
We teach beginner-friendly Lindy Hop/Charleston/Solo Jazz classes on Friday evenings.
Timetable:
7:30pm-8:30pm Fundamentals class
8:30pm-9pm Social dancing/practice
Our classes are held at 43rd Glasgow Scouts Hall, 4 Holmhead Rd, Glasgow G44 3AS
Workshop and social - £5
Social only - £2
Concessions - £3
We use gender neutral language in our classes to teach lead and follow roles. Everyone welcome regardless of experience level.

FAQs:
* What is swing dance?
Swing dance is a general term for a group of dance styles that originated in African American dance communities in the ballrooms of Harlem, New York. These dances were rooted in and evolved with jazz music over the 1920s-1950s, and include Lindy Hop, Charleston, Vernacular Jazz, Balboa, Collegiate Shag, and many more!
* Do I need a partner?
No partner needed - we will rotate dance partners throughout the evening so feel free to come alone or bring some pals!
* Do I need special dance shoes?
No you don't need to buy particular shoes but we would recommend wearing flat-soled shoes that have a little slide (canvas shoes or leather-soled are perfect!)
* What else should I bring?
We would recommend bring a bottle of water, and perhaps a spare tshirt depending on how much dancing you do in the social!
* Can you make the social longer than 30 minutes?!
We are starting off with 30 minutes as a trial because we are just beginning with our Southside adventure! Hopefully in the future we will be able to extend the social time and/or start Improver level classes as well!
