The Town of Hyde Park's annual Music In The Parks concert series will include a concert by Southern Dutchess Concert Band this evening on the grounds of the grand Vanderbilt Mansion. Admission is free, so pack your lawn chairs and join us for this special evening. The rain location is the auditorium at the Taconic Regional OFC-NY Parks at 9 Old Post Rd., Staatsburg.
The 70-piece Southern Dutchess Concert Band will be performing a selection of show tunes, popular standards, marches, light classical and wind ensemble music. Highlights will include: selections from "The Sound of Music", the Oscar-winning song "Moon River", and "America the Beautiful". The Southern Dutchess Concert Band consists of woodwind, brass and percussion musicians from southern Dutchess County and surrounding areas.
