About this Event
Do you already have a sourdough starter at home crying out for fresh ideas? Or have you not yet met Cornelius – our 159 year old sourdough starter – and you’d like to see what he can do?
In this workshop we’ll explore everything but bread – recipes for using your sourdough for pancakes, muffins, cinnamon rolls, crumpets and more. You’ll mix, knead and take home your very own dough for a freshly baked morning treat, and we’ll cook up some fresh cinnamon rolls and crumpets during the workshop to enjoy together. You’ll never need to buy yeast again!
There will be vegan and non vegan options on offer.
Participants go home with:
- new knowledge and understanding of sourdough (starter, baking and results)
- a piece of our 150+ year old Icelandic sourdough starter culture
- a self-prepared dough to bake at home for everyone else (either English muffin or bagel)
- a full belly of tasty probiotic treats and drinks
Please bring your curious taste buds, a small jar for your starter, and a large tupperware to take your dough home in
Spots are limited due to busy hands and elbows using the space
