🥯 **Montreal-Style Sourdough Bagel Workshop**
**Saturday, July 18**
✨ **Only 3 spots remaining**
10% off summer classes
**This is slow food, made properly, shared generously.**
Spend a summer morning learning to make authentic Montreal-style sourdough bagels from scratch, then settle in for a leisurely bagel brunch around the table.
Golden, chewy, and full of flavour, sourdough bagels are deeply satisfying to make and even better to eat. In this hands-on class, you'll learn the full process from start to finish. We'll mix, knead, shape, boil, and bake together, with plenty of guidance and time to understand what matters and why.
This class is beginner friendly and designed to be generous with both learning and hospitality. We move at a steady pace, do things properly, and share the results together at the table.
✨ **What you'll do**
• Mix, knead, shape, boil, and bake sourdough bagels from start to finish
• Learn how sourdough fermentation affects flavour, texture, and chew
• Add your own toppings such as sesame, poppy seed, or everything seasoning
• Ask questions, practise techniques, and build real confidence
🥯 **During the class**
We'll share a generous bagel brunch featuring fresh-baked sourdough bagels with cream cheese, smoked salmon, homemade jam, orange juice, and coffee or tea. Come hungry.
🍞 **You'll leave with**
• Bagels you made yourself
• Extra dough to bake at home
• A sourdough starter to continue baking
• Organic flour to get you started
• The knowledge and confidence to make bagels whenever you want
👩🍳 **Details**
• Step-by-step instruction with Lisa at Great Lakes Sourdough
