Sacred sound, when consciously and intentionally applied, is therapeutic and profoundly healing for the body, nervous system, and all aspects of our being. Sound Therapy, as both a medicinal experience and sacred ceremony, is one of humanity’s oldest healing arts. It is perhaps the most original of all arts.
Sound is also a science. It measurably changes matter and influences our physiology, emotions, and consciousness. When practiced with intention and spiritual meaning, sound becomes a powerful tool for releasing stagnant or low-grade energies held within the body while elevating awareness, presence, and connection.
In this immersive training, you will learn to work with pure-toned, high-frequency instruments as tools for meditation, healing, sound baths, and consciousness exploration. You will cultivate the art of listening, stillness, resonance, and harmonious communication through sound.
This training is open to anyone who would like to learn more about Sound Therapy and includes:
HEALING – Daily Sound Bath Immersions:
Each day, you will receive a meditative Sound Bath and listening experience designed to support deep healing, nervous system regulation, spaciousness, and creative activation.
Swan Michelle has been facilitating Sound Baths and therapeutic sound experiences for thousands of people since 2012, offering transformational practices rooted in ancient wisdom and modern understanding.
ART – The Practice of Sound
Topics include:
- Octaves, harmony, and discord
- Struck and unstruck sounds
- The musical scale
- Heart frequencies
- Music and the nervous system
- Breath and sound
- Chakras and energetic resonance
- Intention setting and assigning meaning to sound
- Major and minor chords
- The Sargam scale
Please bring your harmonium if you have one. Instruments will also be available to share. No musical experience is necessary.
SCIENCE – The Effects of Sound on Matter and Consciousness
Lectures include:
- Sympathetic resonance
- Solfeggio frequencies
- The autonomic nervous system
- Survival, chaos, rest, and regulation
- Brain wave states
- Energy center correspondences
- The Fibonacci Golden Ratio and the 1:5 ratio
- The pineal gland
- The neurochemistry and wisdom of the heart
Instrument Application & Play
- Basic harmonium instruction and Vedic-style playing for beginners
- Learning and chanting sacred mantras
- Vocal practices using the Sargam scale
- Mantra pronunciation, meaning, and recitation
- Ocean drum
- Angel chimes
- Metal singing bowls
- Crystal singing bowls
- Tuning forks
- Therapeutic instrumentation and sound choreography for healing applications
12 hours Continuing YA Education accredited
Swan Michelle is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), and this training may qualify for continuing education hours for Yoga Alliance professionals.
