Please join us for our second sound healing event at Soft Medicine in Sebastopol! After many sold out events throughout the Bay Area, we are offering a magical improvisational musical journey locally that will beckon you inward toward peace and well-being.

The journey will begin with a guided meditation leading you into a state of deep relaxation. Musicians skilled in improvisation and the healing aspects of music will then use sound to help you access what is ripe for your healing.

A variety of instruments will be your guides: world flutes, guitar, udu, rav drum, hand pan, bass, vocals, crystal bowls, didgeridoo, tuning forks, sitar, and more.

Natural aromatherapy supports the journey. Sensitivities are accommodated and will be removed from the herb altar at the beginning of the evening.

Participants report feeling deep relaxation, unexpected joy, and incredible peace.

* Please bring what you need to make yourself comfortable. People often bring a mat or pad to lay on (the floor is carpeted), blanket, pillow, loose and comfortable clothes, water bottle with a lid that closes, eye shades, socks or slippers to keep your feet warm, journal, etc. Chairs are available for those who would prefer to sit rather than lay down for the event, or feel free to bring your own zafu.

Musicians:

Todd Zimmerman is a shamanic practitioner focusing on integration and self- actualization. He has worked in the area of wellness and personal development for over 38 years, personally creating, co-creating and facilitating unique transformational programs, workshops and ceremonies that have transformed the lives of thousands of people. Todd pioneered “Live Music” Group Breathwork and was honored to bring the band “Soulstice” to The Spiritual Emergence Network (SEN) conference in Todtmoos Germany (1996) to perform for Stan Grof’s first ever “Live Music” Holotropic Breathwork. He has played in several bands including Sound Sculptors and Guided Tour. Todd plays, djembe, hoop drums, handpan, didgeridoo, guitar and various other percussion instruments.

Kenneth Hooper is an improvisational world flute artist and sound healer with a passion for connecting with Spirit and expressing through his heart. Kenneth completed a Sound, Voice and Music Healing certificate from CIIS in 2016. In 2020, his debut solo album, Directions, was nominated for a Zone Music Reporter Award in the Best Instrumental Album - Acoustic category and a One World Music Award - Best Flute Album category. Kenneth’s most recent album, As the Crow Flies, was released in December 2022. Kenneth has held sound healing events with a variety of musicians for over a decade and has run relaxation classes in the workplace since 2007. Both solo works can be found on all streaming platforms.

Kari Knapstad, L.Ac. has a private acupuncture and Chinese medicine practice in Los Altos, CA, specializing in alchemical healing. She has worked with a variety of healing arts and ceremonies since 1983. She loves using tuning forks with her patients since she was introduced to them at the Sound, Voice and Music Healing program at CIIS in 2016. She explored how creativity facilitates the healing process during her MA program in Holistic Health Education at JFKU, where she specialized in Art & Healing. She graduated from the Stargate Mystery School in 1999 and completed a Maitri Breathwork training in 2000, both from the Center for Sacred Studies. A life-long learner, Kari has recently completed a two-year program in alchemical healing with Lorie Eve Dechar, L.Ac, and Benjamin Fox. She plays the crystal bowls, chimes, and tuning forks and takes care of the herb altar.

Juan Vives, the son of a Chilean marriage, was born in Philadelphia and began playing guitar at the age of 14. Surrounded by a musical family and friends, he had the opportunity to listen to and learn many instruments, including drums, piano, bass guitar, and voice. His true passion is the guitar and signing. He trained in music production and graduated from the certificate program in Sound, Voice and Music Healing at the California Institute of Integral Studies, San Francisco. Juan also participates in the duo Sevamantra and The Vros in the Bay area.

Nader Vasseghi is an executive coach, entrepreneur, award-winning musician, and author of “Path to Freedom: Leading a Life of Joy, Impact and Abundance”. He is the founder of Cnergist Inc., an executive coaching firm committed to transforming and elevating the lives of business leaders and high achievers. He is a speaker, workshop leader, and energy medicine practitioner. Nader was nominated best new artist by Zone Music Reporter 2020, and his album “Sacred Gift” nominated best new age album by One World Music Radio 2020.

Gian Berselli is an award-nominated music producer. His debut album on the new-age charts was in the top five for its first 3 weeks, reaching #3 and stayed in the top 10 for an impressive 6 weeks. Founder of Astral Wolf Studios, he creates music for apps like The Tapping Solution, OhmPad, and more. He is a former instructor at the Sound Healing Center and has worked on over 15 albums, made music for more than 10 feature films, and for clients like Cristiano Ronaldo, Nissan, Mercedes Benz and more.
