Sound & Stillness Meditation Evenings

This evenings are alternatively facilitated by harpist Eily Aurora, Didgeridoo player Trevor Uruski and Shamanic Dreamtime Didgeridoo healer Steven Gertz.

They each draw from their decades of intuitive musical training and meditation backgrounds to create a heart- connected experience of the new earth we all know is possible.

These evenings include an opening, a mix of guided meditation, and space to totally receive and go on your own journey as well. We often close with chance to share a few words with the group about your experience if you would like.

We utilize the breath, voice, instrumentation, and deep listening to offer an improvised soundscapes for you with a number of ambient, percussion instruments, including crystal bowls, bells, frame drums, rain sticks, and shakers.

We will have tea available after the meditation. All are welcome to stay and connect until 9 pm.

P lease bring something to sit on, a water bottle and a journal if you would like time to reflect on your own afterwards in the temple.

Our Sacred Space

Our meditation nights happen at The Sophia Sound Temple, where Eily, Trevor and Leanne live in SW Calgary Cedarbre. It is a beautiful big space with faery lights, lots of extra pillows and a persian carpet.

About Eily Aurora

Eily Aurora is a singer/songwriter, harpist, Harp Faery Clown, and social innovation facilitator based in Calgary, Canada. Performing across stages in North America for over a decade, Eily Aurora’s second CD, A Journey of the Heart, was released in 2018. With a passion to support mental health, she founded the Home Shall Be Here project in 2019, which toured concerts and music workshops to 14 communities across western Canada.

In 2020, she designed creative and participatory methods for mental wellness at cSPACE King Edward Arts Hub in Calgary as a member of Alberta Social Innovation Connect’s Community Catalyst Program. As a systemic constellations facilitator, Eily has presented internationally with her work with sound and embodied inquiry.

As an Artist Composer in Residence with SIX Wayfinder, her project, The Song of Nature, inspires reconnection with the natural world through meditations with live plant music.

About Trevor Uruski

Trevor is a didgeridoo performer, teacher and sound therapist. Soundscape and vocal artist, spiritual poet, friend and guide. Spiritual aspirant of several years now sharing the fruits of his labor through music, presence, word and sound. Seeker and collaborator for individual and social healing projects and spiritual awakening.

About Steven Gertz

Steven is a shamanic healer who works with sound frequencies and vibration to bring balance back to the body. He has played the didgeridoo for 20 years. For the past 12 years he has worked with Amazonian shamanic traditions.

The didgeridoo resonates on low frequencies and helps breakup and release stuck energies. It can assist in treatment of various ailments like stress, disease, anxiety, depression, physical injury and emotional pain.

Steven brings all his life experiences together as he leads his Didgeridoo dreamtime journies. They are intuitive and led by spirit.

Participants are invited to bring a clear intention. During the night, Steven will do a healing for each person in the room. There also may be Native American flutes, Drums and Rattles depending on the energy of the evening.
