Birthing with Intention

Join us we dive in to the process of pregnancy & birth so you hone into your intuition and birth with intention.

The Balsamic Moon and Dragonfly Maternity come together quarterly to offer this empowering evening for blossoming birthers. We help the overwhelmed and confused birther to know your options and discover useful tools to connect to your body so that you can feel in control, empowered & enlightened to birth with intention.

Beyond Birth Education… What sets us apart?

This workshop is for women who want to take their birth prep to the next level. We believe there is more to birth than simply learning the fundamentals! Yes, there is the functional “stages of labour” aspect to birthing your baby (the 411, when to head to hospital, what is an epidural) — information which allows you to make informed decisions around your care… however this workshop is beyond birth education. Though we touch on the fundamentals of pregnancy and birth; we go deeper, leaning into the emotional heartspace of birth. Our goal is to bridge the gap and fuse the informative decision making process with what it means to connect to your body and your baby; elevating your birth into an empowered co-creation.

What to expect

The evening is crafted in a way that allows you to hone in on your powerful mama intuition and the preferences you have around birth, leaving you feeling more confident and in control for birth-day.

• Postures to consider at Birth from an experienced Prenatal Yoga Instructor and Mama!

• Insights from an experienced Calgary Birth Doula

Open Q&A will allow for topics to come forward from the group in our confidential setting.

In addition to the guided content that we'll be sharing with you, there will also be the opportunity to mingle with fellow birthers in attendance towards the end of our evening. Strengthening connections with others on their pregnancy journey offers many benefits of support through parenthood.

The Details

General Admission at our in-person workshop includes an invitation to our private Facebook group. This Facebook group is a great place for us to connect with each other before & after the session, share birth pics & stories, and bond through the parenthood journey. The private group will allow communication with co-facilitators, Cher & Bri, outside of the workshop to answer questions and to continue providing resources in the community as needed.

Add-on Opportunity: Participants also have the option to purchase access to pre-recorded content for future reference.

Please note that 20% of the ticket sales will be donated to local Calgary charities that we've partnered with, which directly serve birthers, their babies and growing families.
