Our 90-minute Writing as Ritual Workshop creates focused, safe space to move, write and share in community. Consisting of 30 minutes of Warming Movement, 30 minutes of Writing Space and 30 minutes of Group Share. Each Session will draw on a specific theme to develop a consistent practice and ritual around your writing life.
For Movement: Wear comfortable layers for Movement Practice. When we move, we feel things and when we feel things, we create!
For Writing: Bring your own journal, laptop or preferred writing method for writing time. You might write to the theme of the Session to Generate New Work, or you might use your Creativity Boost to dig into a piece you are already working on.
For the Share: You can share what you wrote, share a sample of something you’re working on, ask for feedback or simply listen. This is a tender, honest space, facilitated with gratitude and care.
Your Facilitator: Amy Solo (RYT-200, Master’s in Teaching) is a writing and movement teacher and poet based in Lavallette, NJ and Olympia, WA. She works with all audiences of students and writers through her Transformational Writing Coaching program, and SoulScape Writing Workshops, meeting the needs of new and seasoned writers to reach their writing goals, create healthy creative habits, and incorporate movement into their creative practices.
Events/Workshops/Ticketed Events Cancellation Policy: If you can no longer attend an event you have signed up for, you must provide cancellation notice at least 24 hours prior to the event start time for a full refund. You will be charged for the event and no refund will be issued if you cancel your event reservation less than 24 hours before event start time. Most Events, Workshops & Ticket Classes have limited space. Canceling last minute affects our ability to get these tickets out to others and fill the event.
