Please join Joanna Ng for a 6-week exploration of Yoga and Sound Healing. The use of sound as a therapeutic modality dates back to prehistoric times when Shamans healed people through singing and drumming. Sound vibration is the creative force in the universe, a manifestation of energy. Through the power of entrainment, we can shift and raise our vibration while experiencing sound healing. The combination of Yoga and Sound healing helps to clear tension from the body, and recalibrate each cell to a higher level. The Yoga practice will be gentle, with a combination of Yin Yoga, Restorative, and gentle movement to prepare the body to rest in stillness. Every week we will focus on a theme, while weaving certain Yogic postures combined with different sound healing instruments to reach a higher state of consciousness. Sound + Intention = Healing.Week 1- Earth, Drums, and Percussion
Week 2- Water, Ocean Drum, and Movement
Week 3- Fire, Breath work and Planetary Gong Bath
Week 4- Air, Heart, Crystal Singing Bowls
Week 5- Ether, Tibetan Bowls, Tuning Forks
Week 6- Bringing it all together
What to Bring: Bring a yoga mat and dress comfortably in layers.
