This is a historic guided walking tour of Soulard and LaSalle Park, covering some of the oldest surviving parts of St. Louis.
About this Event

Soulard is one of the most historically significant neighborhoods in St. Louis, and dates back to 1835. This will be a tour of the early urban developments in Soulard, which will showcase some of the first developments in the city outside of downtown. The tour will go across the highway into the LaSalle Park Neighborhood to see the other parts of the original Soulard plot, and will go through one of the oldest surviving neighborhoods in the city. Also featured on the tour will be a number of historic churches, including St. John Nepomuk, the oldest Czech parish in America. Soulard was predominantly settled by German immigrants in the mid 19th centur, and the tour will extensively discuss many of the early German residents in this part of the city. This tour will last roughly 2-3 hours, and will cost $20 per ticket for purchases up to one day in advance. Same day purchases are $30.

Tickets are non refundable, unless otherwise stated. If you miss the event, you can use your ticket to attend a future event free of charge. If you have trouble finding the tour, be sure to contact St. Louis History and Architecture immediately, within 10 minutes of the advertised start time. Tours always give 10 minutes in case of late arrivals.
