All of us have a beat. Our heart beats, our blood pulses, our respiration brings rhythm to into our lungs and all these rhythms tie together to give us our bodies its rhythms. Our bodies also follow the rhythm of the seasons. Our bodies follow the rhythm of length of days. Our bodies flow with the season of the moon. Season are woven into bodies as well as culture.
I invite you to notice the pulse of your heartbeat, the rhythm of your life. I invite you to hear the drumming of your heartsong and to follow it to the silent space within. That holy space, where the Divine reigns, where your true self is known and loved. Reduce stress, increase immunity, reduce burnout, increase community, lift your mood, lower anxiety, have fun, all these can be benefits of drumming. These benefits are amplified when shared in a group.
