Country Bookshelf is excited to welcome Sonido Reyes, author of multiple best-selling young adult novels, including Sonido will be in conversation with a board member from Pride House, a space for young people to gather safely to learn about LGBTQ+ identity, receive guidance, and find acceptance.
Tickets are not required but RSVPs are always appreciated! Please RSVP by reserving your free ticket on this page.
The event at a glance:
- On July 29, please arrive early to secure your seat. Seating is general admission, first come, first served.
- At 6pm, the event will begin. The author will take audience questions following the program.
- After the talk, the author will sign books.
- Can't attend in person? Order signed copies on our website or by calling (406) 587-0166. Signing requests must be placed 24 hours before the event and can only be taken for books we currently have on our shelves.
About the Author
Sonido Reyes is the award-winning and bestselling author of The Lesbiana's Guide to Catholic School, The Luis Ortega Survival Club, The Broposal, and The Golden Boy's Guide to Bipolar. They also have contributed short stories to the anthologies Transmogrify! and For the Rest of Us.
Sonido writes fiction celebrating queer and Mexican stories in a variety of genres and age catefories. He is also the vice-president of My Galvanized Friend, a nonprofit focused on providing access to and amplifying LGBTQ+ writing, art, and creators. They also co-host the podcast Bidi Bidi Book Pod, which celebrates queer and trans BIPOC authors and stories.
About Pride House
Pride House provides an affirming, youth-centered and youth-empowered space that allows LGBTQIA+ kids to grow and thrive in a supportive and compassionate environment. Created by teens and run by the adults who love them, this space centers education, resource gathering, safety and acceptance.
