SONIC announced today plans to open its first-ever drive-in in Citrus Heights on Monday Sept. 15. Located at 5873 Antelope Road the new SONIC marks the brand’s fourth location in the greater Sacramento area.

Owned and operated by local SONIC franchise partner group Elite Drive-Ins the new restaurant will serve guests daily from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Guests can enjoy SONIC’s expansive menu by ordering through the restaurant’s drive-thru lane or seven drive-in stalls. The one-of-a-kind dining experience also incorporates eye-catching elements of SONIC’s updated architectural design and visual brand identity for guests to experience the new SONIC look.

The new restaurant marks Elite Drive-Ins’ fourth SONIC location in Northern California. Founded by local franchisee CJ Dhaliwal the new drive-in holds special significance as it’s situated just minutes away from where his children attended school.

In addition to drive-thru and drive-in service Citrus Heights SONIC guests can place an order online or through the SONIC App for contactless ordering and payment now including Apple Pay as well as to take advantage of the monthly offers and discounts available through SONIC Rewards. The franchise group has recently upgraded their other drive-ins with contactless ordering and payment capabilities as well.
