Dr Mairi McFadyen works at the fascinating intersection of culture, community and the natural environment. In this year's Annual Biosphere Lecture, she explores how cultural heritage can help reconnect us with the living systems that sustain us and inspire positive action for the future.
As we weave through Blein ny Gaelgey / The Year of Manx, her work offers a timely and inspiring reflection on the deep connections between language, culture and environment – highlighting how the Manx language and cultural traditions are rooted in, and can help shape, a more sustainable future for the Island and our UNESCO Biosphere.
