Entrance to the theatre is via the back gate, at the Middle Wall end of Kemp Alley, opposite the United Reformed Church. Go through the door at the bottom of the slope and turn right to go into the bar area.

🎭🎶 We're back! 🎶🎭
After the huge success of our musical theatre showcase in July 2019, then again in September 2023, we are back for another 'Songs of the Stage and Screen', to be performed 9-12th September 2026.
🎭⭐️Interested in Auditioning?⭐️🎭
Audition Evening:
Arrive from 6pm for a 6:30pm start.
The auditions will be based in the bar, accessed by the back entrance of the Theatre as above.
Auditions will be Saturday 2nd May 6-10pm. There will be a chorus singing audition and a light movement/characterisation audition, then an optional dance audition, and we will finish up with solo auditions for those who wish to be considered for solo singing.
The structure will be as follows:
6pm-6:30pm registration
6:30pm-6:40pm introductions
6:40pm-7:40pm chorus singing and movement auditions (split in two groups)
7:40-7:50 break
7:50-8:20 dance audition (optional)
8:20-8:30 break
8:30pm-10pm solo singing auditions (optional)
Everyone will take part in the chorus singing and movement audition, but the dance audition and solo singing auditions are optional. We encourage you to give it a go!
You only need to prepare something if you are auditioning for solo singing, as everything else will be taught on the day. Just come in and show us your voice using a song you like. You can bring a backing track on your phone, we will have Bluetooth speakers for you. You can also sing a capella. Just roughly a minute long please as we will have a lot of people to get through. We suggest picking the most impressive bit of the song for your voice!
Please note that you are not auditioning for a particular song to be in the show. We have a song list picked already, and we will assign people after the auditions.

N.B. Due to the anticipated large size of this cast auditionees must be aged 16+ by the 8th September.
Rehearsals
Rehearsals start at the end of May on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. From the last week of July it will be Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. You will only be called for the songs you are in.
Expect to rehearse all show week and most of the fortnight before (weekday evenings only).
The beauty of this show is your commitment can be as minimal as you like. Want to be in just one or two songs? Sure. Only want to be in chorus numbers? Great! We have lots of them.
