Somewhere in England is an exhibition of photography by Ken Abbott that explores England through the window of a moving train. The view it gives is unique, and the perspective it offers is unlike any other.
Whilst some images embrace the energy and abstraction created by movement, others form a documentary record of passing places.
Between March and June this year, Ken travelled nearly 2000 miles around England on 46 trains, passing through 474 stations camera in hand, photographing the ever-changing scene passing by the window.
This exhibition brings together the most evocative images from those journeys, offering a unique perspective of England in 2026.
