This workshop addresses chronic low back, hip, and pelvis pain and discomfort. In this class, you will learn to release deep-seated tension, improve mobility, and cultivate a sense of ease and well-being by using gentle somatic movements, self-myofascial release techniques, restorative yoga postures, and breathwork.
We will address:
Low back pain
Hip tightness or discomfort
Pelvic floor dysfunction
Sciatica
Limited mobility
Somatic Yoga is a holistic approach that focuses on the connection between the body, mind, and emotions. It utilizes gentle and restorative yoga postures combined with mindful breathing and meditation to promote deep healing and relaxation
Somatic Classes include:
Somatic Movement: Explore slow, mindful movements that help you reconnect with your body and release habitual patterns of tension.
Self Myofascial Release: Learn to release adhesions in muscles and fascia using yoga blanket and or Yoga Tune-Up Therapy Balls while also down regulating the nervous system
Restorative Yoga: Experience deeply relaxing postures that support the natural alignment of the spine, hips, and pelvis.
Breathwork: Learn breathing techniques to calm the nervous system, reduce pain, and enhance overall relaxation.
Body Sensing Meditation or Yoga Nidra to release tension from body and mind
These workshops are appropriate for those with chronic pain/tension who are not in the acute stage of an injury.
Yoga Teachers can receive CEU's (Continuing Education Credits) through Yoga Alliance.
