Hi all! This is a practice group for those who want to learn more solo jazz. I love solo jazz but I’m too lazy to practice on my own, that’s why I’m asking you to join me! In November, there are two practice sessions, 11/10 and 11/17 at 3.30pm-5.00pm. The idea in these practice sessions is:- to learn 4-5 classic jazz steps
- to practice these moves and transitions in technical drills (with music)
- to practice breaks
- to build up confidence for more improvised dancing
- to have fun and dance together!
The dancing takes place outside at an amphitheater in Sunnyvale. The amphitheater is located between the Sunnyvale City Library and the City Hall. In Google Maps, you can find the place by the name "Little Amphitheater".
The floor is smooth concrete, so plan accordingly. There should be plenty of parking spots and the library and its restrooms are open until 6pm. See you!
