About this Event
Solar from Space
Space technology has long been at the forefront of human innovation. From memory foam to GPS, space technology is ubiquitous in our daily lives, but might it soon also become an integral source of global energy production?
Join us at the University of Strathclyde in the Royal College Building Montrose Rooms (RC 2.12/2.15) to learn about the innovative SOLSPACE research project from the University of Glasgow which aims to harvest solar power in orbit for use on Earth. Joining our guest speakers from the SOLSPACE team is Hercules Wessels, Legal advisor at Low Carbon Contracts and expert in climate change law, to discuss the potential benefits as well as practical implications and challenges of integrating such innovative energy solutions into our existing infrastructure.
Whether you are a space engineer, electrical engineer or are just interested in the domain, join the conversation the 25th November in the Montrose Rooms (RC 2.13/2.15) from 4-6pm. Refreshments will be provided during the after-event networking session.
