Sola Rosa at Kinross

Sola Rosa is the long-running project of Andrew Spraggon, one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s most inventive musical exports. For over 20 years, he’s crafted a signature sound blending soul, R&B, funk, jazz, hip-hop and pop.

Since winning Best Electronic Release at the 2001 New Zealand Music Awards for Solarized, Sola Rosa has built a global following, playing festivals such as Secret Garden Party and Green Man, earning praise from Rolling Stone and Mojo, and collaborating with artists including Tall Black Guy, Hermitude, and DJ Vadim.

Now in 2025, Sola Rosa celebrates 25 years with a new EP that marks the close of a major creative chapter, while setting the stage for a new full-length album due in early 2026.
