Taught by local garden guru, Katie James, this is a beginner's workshop where gardeners bring in a sample of their own garden soil and we work together to discover its qualities and needs for the new growing season. We will demystify the basics of at home and mail-in soil tests. You will leave with a prepared Soil Savvy test kit ready to drop in the mail. Feel empowered making amendment choices for your garden - whether that is buying soil, fertilizer, or compost - by knowing what qualities your soil already has.
Instructions for taking a soil sample from your garden bed will be sent out to registrants prior to the workshop. $65 includes a ready to mail soil test, all workshop materials, a workbook, and light refreshments.
