For February's Socialism and a Slice, the Palestine Solidarity Working Group is hosting Brenna Cussen Anglada. Brenna is a member of the Catholic Worker movement who recently spent five weeks in the West Bank working with the Palestinian led International Solidarity Movement. While there, she provided a "protective presence" or unarmed civilian protection. Brenna will share how West Bank Palestinians are committed to remaining on their land, what they are asking for from activists abroad, as well as photos and stories from her solidarity work. Like always, there will be free pizza, beverages, and socialist literature!
The Palestine Solidarity Working Group is a coalition made up of Grandmothers for Peace, DSA, Veterans for Peace, Twin Ports Against Weapons Trade, SUMUD, Anti-Imperialist Action and the Northwoods Socialist Collective.
