D.E.A.R. Petersburg (Drop Everything And Read Petersburg) is a community reading pathway under Social SaturnDaze, hosted by The P.L.U.G.

For 60 minutes, Haus on Market Street becomes a cozy reading oasis. Little Lights (children) gather for an engaging read-aloud led by Mr. Cherry, while teens and adults spread out through the haus for quiet, independent reading. Bring your own book or choose one from the shelves—novels, comics, money books, healing books, whatever is feeding your mind right now.

This pathway is about more than books; it’s about literacy as liberation—creating a regular rhythm where our people slow down, breathe, and build a culture of reading together.

• Time: 1:00–2:00 PM (Little Lights read-aloud begins at 1:15 PM)
• Location: Haus on Market Street, 215 North Market Street
• Cost: Free to attend
• Food: Snacks and drinks available for purchase or donation.
