Great news! Petersburg Area Art League will be hosting a bookbinding workshop. Please mark you calendars for January 15 from 6-8 pm in the upstairs studio for a night of making handmade books. Participants will get their choice of several kinds of books: spiral, saddle bound, Coptic, paper bag, and Japanese ribbon bound. The workshop is all inclusive. Everything will be provided… as well as, snacks and drinks.
We are going to take the newly bound book and start a book club that creates art within the book that we make. This group will meet monthly and participate in a prompt and technique that we will bring back the next month to share. This is always a fun and inspiring experience that creates a community of artists that invest in each other .
