Those of you who know me well, know that i live my life paying close attention to the moon phases. Following the moon cycle provides me a natural, cyclical structure for self care , goal setting and emotional regulation in an otherwise super fast paced world.
first we have to contend with the inevitable full moon 'fluffery'....( thats not the actual word we usually use but facebook would not approve of the actual word ).
Then in the days following each new moon , a thin curving crescent moon starts to appear.
The cresent moon tends to be a time of calm associated with growth, transformation, intuition and the time to remove negative energy.
Add to this the symbolism of butterflies( personal growth, beauty and freedom ) .
Butterflies remind us of our own capacity to emerge , evolve and break free from limitations. They teach us that sometimes change, though uncomfortable and often difficult , is necessary for growth.
During this class we will be creating a diamomd art butterfly moon hanging.
The repetitive nature of diamond art is relaxing and so calming for the mind.
