About this Event
Amelia Rose Earhart was given a name that posed the question: would she learn to fly? As a professional speaker, pilot, author, and artist, she faced this question and decided to pursue her passion, completing her private, instrument, and commercial flight training with the goal of flying around the world, inspired by the American hero Amelia Mary Earhart.
In 2014, she achieved her goal, circumnavigating the globe over a 28,000 nautical mile route in a single-engine aircraft. Amelia learned during her journey that to truly succeed and grow, we need to embrace life's turbulence by staying agile amidst the storms that inevitably appear in our paths.
Amelia has fifteen years of experience as a helicopter and breaking news reporter in Denver and Los Angeles and has enabled numerous teenage girls to attend flight school during her ten-year tenure as president of the Fly With Amelia Foundation. She hosts a tech podcast focused on the future of AI in business and is now transforming her aerial photos into original paintings. She has been invited by companies such as Apple Computers, Boeing, American Express, Berkshire Hathaway, United Healthcare, and many other industry leaders to share her story.
The first 250 in-person attendees will receive a copy of Amelia Rose Earhart’s book, Learn to Love the Turbulence. All attendees are welcome to attend a meet and greet reception immediately after the keynote.
Learn to Love The Turbulence | "Flight Lessons" - In her recently published book, "Learn to Love the Turbulence: ‘Flight Lessons’ on Becoming the Pilot in Command of Your Own Journey," Amelia shares advice on how to think like a pilot to navigate life with agility and confidence.
Our keynote will share practical strategies to help leaders at every level navigate challenges, adapt to change, and build resilience—qualities essential to sustaining strong, impactful leadership. She will also speak about adversity in turbulent times while celebrating Women's History Month and all the amazing milestones women have reached.
Schedule: The doors will open at 4:15 PM and the keynote speaker will begin her presentation at 4:30 PM. A meet and greet with the speaker will occur immediately after the end of the event.
