Smoke Stories: An EJ Workshop for the Public
Explore telling the story of how wildfire smoke and heat have affected your Minnesota summers.
About this Event
How has the smoke and heat from the wildfires changed summer for you and your family?
Due to the effects of climate change, this is the new normal in Minnesota and the Twin Cities -- and it is just the beginning. How do we navigate this with care, change our patterns thoughtfully in order to adapt? What is our grieving process? And how might the culture of the South Side and Powderhorn build something counteractive to mediate the worst effects of wildfire smoke and heat in our daily lives?
Join longtime EJ activist Shalini Gupta and writer Shannon Gibney at Powderhorn Park Rec Center for a FREE community workshop integrating EJ and storytelling.
FREE and open to adults and teens!
