Small Group Learning Session: Billing in Oscar
About this Event
As Physicians and MOAs, efficient and accurate billing workflows are essential to supporting your clinic’s financial health and ensuring you are capturing the services you provide. We invite you to join us for an Oscar EMR small group learning session focused on administrative billing, designed to build confidence, improve efficiency, and strengthen your day-to-day billing workflows.
This interactive session will be led by a Doctors of BC Technology Coach, who specialize in helping users optimize their use of their EMRs. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, practice workflows, and learn practical tips you can immediately apply in your clinic.
Free parking will be available and dinner provided.
Key Topics:
- How to set-up Billing Forms & Defaults
- How to set-up Service & Diagnostic code Associations
- How to review your claims via “Edit Invoices
- Reviewing helpful billing Report by Templates
- Where in Oscar you can bill
Out of Scope:
To keep the session focused on Oscar billing workflows, the following topics will not be covered:
- Advising on how to interpret rejection codes and how to correct them
- Advise what to bill for specific scenarios (i.e. maternity, long-term care, interactions, etc.)
- Anything related to ICBC/WCB
- Anything related to LFP Billing & Payment questions

Registration: Spaces are limited to 24 (12 physicians and 1 respective MOA), so don’t wait, first come, first serve!
The FNW Division can offer a 1 hour sessional to:
FNW Primary Members & Associate Allied Health Providers (AHPs)
- Must be actively practicing within FNW comunities: New Westminster, Tri-Cities, Belcarra, and Anmore.
LOCUMs
- Must be FNW Primary Members and must have worked at least one shift in a FNW community within the last 365 days.
MOAs & Practice Managers
- Must be employed by a FNW Primary Member working within FNW communities.
Nurse Practitioners
- May claim sessional fees through NNPBC, not the FNW Division.
Residents are welcome to attend, but do not qualify for sessionals until they complete residency and hold full FNW membership.
