Create a Holiday Marketing Plan That Helps Readers Discover, Gift, and Buy Your Books
Saturday, October 10, 2026
1:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.
The Story Loft
10605 E. Winner Road, Independence, Missouri
Sleigh Your Book Marketing is a hands-on workshop designed to help authors create a practical holiday campaign for November and December. We’ll work through how to position your books as gifts, create seasonal offers, plan useful promotional content, prepare for holiday events, and communicate important ordering and shipping deadlines without overwhelming your readers or yourself.
During the workshop, we’ll cover:
Choosing which books to feature during the holiday season
Identifying the readers and gift buyers you want to reach
Creating giftable book bundles and seasonal offers
Pricing promotions without eliminating your profit
Developing holiday content that goes beyond sales posts
Planning email and social media campaigns
Promoting author appearances and holiday markets
Preparing inventory, displays, packaging, and sales materials
Communicating shipping and local-pickup deadlines
Building a manageable schedule that does not require daily posting
This is a working session, so you will not spend three hours simply listening. You’ll use guided planning materials to build a holiday campaign specifically for your books, audience, schedule, and budget.
By the end of the workshop, you will leave with:
A November–December marketing calendar
A clear holiday sales goal
A featured book, bundle, or seasonal offer
A bank of content ideas
A short email-marketing plan
A list of important promotional and ordering deadlines
A checklist for inventory, events, and sales materials
Three specific actions to begin immediately
Bring a laptop or tablet if you prefer to work digitally, or bring your favorite planning supplies. You should also bring information about your books, current prices, upcoming events, and any holiday promotions you are already considering.
Whether you are preparing for your first holiday season as an author or trying to create a more organized and sustainable approach, this workshop will help you stop guessing and start the season with a plan.
Plan it. Promote it. Sleigh the season.
