Portland-based blues-rock band Sleeper Wave is led by teen musicians Cameron Kirkman (17) on guitar and vocals and Jonah Bradbury (15) on keyboards, joined by veteran bassist Kevin Kelley and powerhouse drummer Edwin Coleman III. Together, they blend classic blues, soulful folk, and high-energy rock into dynamic original songs and captivating live performances.
In 2025, Sleeper Wave won the Cascade Blues Association's Youth Journey to Memphis Competition, earning the opportunity to represent Portland at the International Blues Challenge on legendary Beale Street. Since then, they have become the first youth-led band nominated for a prestigious Muddy Award and have wowed audiences at the Waterfront Blues Festival, Cathedral Park Jazz Festival, and the historic Alberta Rose Theatre.
