Friday night at Daydreamer is a time for community, a time for coming together and supporting local artist, and a time to share a basket of fries with your neighbor. Every Friday night we're hosting something fun, like our open mic, live music, or community sing alongs.
Name Pending is a dynamic duo from Portland, OR giving engaging live performances across Oregon and beyond. The duo blends playful banter, nostalgic covers, and relatable originals to create a fun and accessible atmosphere. Emphasizing audience interaction, Name Pending invites fans to suggest and vote on the band’s “name,” and frequently includes song requests that come in both in-person and online.
Their set lists feature a mix of familiar hits like Owl City's "Fireflies," Green Day's "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)," and a unique mash-up of John Denver’s "Country Roads" with Old Crow Medicine Show's "Wagon Wheel." Their original songs, such as "Florida" (about lost love) and "State of Mind" (about breaking societal norms), offer fresh perspectives on universal themes.
The duo consists of Trevor Ontiveros (guitarist and singer), a seasoned musician with 12 years of experience both solo and with numerous rock bands, and Nerys Apple (keyboardist and singer), known for her diverse musical background and experimental dark pop work with Boneyard Records. Their combined experience creates a distinctive sound that highlights their individual talents while presenting a cohesive, unique duo experience.
Sin Scenario is our neighbor, friend, and talented musician! He has played our stage before, both at our open mic and for his own show. His songs weave together looping guitar and drums, with some elements of spoken word.
