About this Event
Sleep is the foundation upon which we build all aspects of our lives. It affects our mental, physical and emotional wellbeing as well as our relationships and work-life.
Gaining a better understanding of sleep can transform your life, or it can help you to support family, friends, workmates or those that you care for.
These workshops aim to demystify the processes of sleep, provide simple and practical strategies for relaxation and offer support in making beneficial changes in aid of a healthy, well-rested and rejuvenating night's sleep to help support wellbeing in all areas of our lives.
The workshops are delivered in plain language without condescending baby-talk or complicated medical jargon, and will accept participants as individuals with a personalised approach, taking into consideration different lifestyles, personalities and learning styles, without a 'one-size-fits-all' view.
Please ensure that you can attend all workshops:
Saturday 4th May 10am - 12pm: Gaining an understanding of the processes of healthy sleep and an exploration into our own habits and relationship with sleep.
Saturday 11th May 10am - 12pm: We will discuss findings and insights gained over our past week by looking at our individual sleep habits and where and how to make beneficial changes in our habits and environment.
Saturday 18th May 10am - 12pm: Looking further into personal insights gained, we will explore different techniques to support relaxation and aid a healthy, well-rested and rejuvenating nights sleep.
(The workshops are fun and interactive and so often run over a little! Let the host know if you have to leave at the set time.)

**P lease ensure that you can attend the course dates - refunds can only be given if we have a participant on the waiting list willing and able to take your ticket and your placement**
Total fee payable: £60 per person
We have worked hard to keep the fees on this course to an absolute minimum to ensure participation access as wide as possible while keeping the quality of content as high as can be. In order for us to do this we really appreciate your acceptance in the terms and conditions below:
Your placement on the course will be reserved on receipt of the course ticket fee of £60. Due to it being beneficial to keep groups to small numbers, we are unable to refund you for any classes missed, so please ensure that you can attend all the classes before booking.
If you find you cannot attend the course after booking, we endeavour to be as fair as possible and may be able to fill your placement or move your placement to another course, but are grateful for your understanding if we are unable to do this.
Please dress in comfortable layers so that you can adjust to being warm/cool easily, bring snacks if you need and bring along a notebook and pen to take notes.
**PLEASE NOTE! If there are any medical/psychological reasons why you should not participate in relaxation or meditative techniques, lightly explore lifestyle choices and behavioural/thought processes, be able to be seated for two hours on a chair or on floor cushions, or climb a small flight of stairs, please let your tutor know before booking. If you are not sure please consult your GP before booking the course**
