Announcing the 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the UTS Ski and Board Society ❄️🏂⛷️ Friday November 8th - put it in your calendars 💥💥💥Everyone is welcome to this event; be that a current member of the club or someone who wants to get to know what we are about!
Alongside catching up with everyone with a cheeky bevvy, the running for the meeting will include:
- Announcement of 2025 President, Vice President and Executive Committee 👑
- Election and Announcement of 2025 General Committee 🫅👸
- Club bonding time to mingle with Skibuts old and new! 🥳
If you’re interested in applying to be a committee member for 2025, candidates should possess the following qualities:
- Strong work ethic 💪: ability to problem solve while drinking, deal with the weather challenges Thredbo throws our way
- Determination 🧐: both to the workings of the club and the df
- Leadership skills 📣🎵: Always ready to kick off a UTS/drinking song
- Proactive 🕺: Always first to put back a beverage
- Proficient in Kings Cup 🍺
- Can put someone in the (rage) cage 😤
- Have a positive, can do, will do attitude 🤗
- Skiing/boarding experience is ideal but not necessary (just look at this years committee… *cough cough Ceci Sullivan) 🎿⛷️
For the experience of a lifetime, email your application manifestation* in an email to [email protected] by 5pm 6th of November. AFTER you have emailed us, please post your application to the 2024 MEMBERS PAGE for display (not the event page ‼️
The manifestation should include (but is not limited to):
- Your name
- Position of interest (e.g. Gen Com, Exec Com)
- A bit about yourself
- Why you should be on committee
- What you plan to bring to Skibuts for 2024
*Examples will be posted in the event tomorrow but get your creative juices flowing**
In your email, please include what trips you will be able to attend - Social (end of July), N& Skiwibuts Abroad (End of Sept (midsem 2 break)).
At the AGM, all applicants will have 1 MINUTE to deliver a speech on why they should be voted in. If any applicant is unable to attend the AGM, their speech will be read out for them.
Votes will only be accepted by those in attendance at AGM. You must be a current 2024 Skibuts member to vote and you may not vote early.
