Sketching at the Hunterian Museum
About this Event
Welcome to the third event of our Summer Sketching series.
On Tuesday the 25th of August, we will meet and dive into strange and beautiful section views of anatomical specimens. This is a highly recommended session for serious artists who would like to study further in human anatomy, organs and medical illustration. An interest in biology and human anatomy would be helpful as the subject matter is organic forms, skin, flesh and bones. The Hunterian Museum houses in an intimate atmosphere human and animal specimens, tissues and organs neatly packed in formaldehyde jars.
The session will be tutored in limited numbers. Please bring a small sketchbook, paper clips, pencils or ink pens or alternatively coloured pencils. Discover the hidden structure of human form and the body by studying anatomical specimens in close proximity.
Please share the event with your friends who might be interested in and feel free to contact me [email protected] if you have any questions.
