Skate LA - Pier to Pier Edition (Venice Fishing Pier to Santa Monica Pier)

Looking for something to do on a Saturday afternoon in the FALL of 2026???

Why not join us for a leisurely SKATING TOUR from Venice Fishing Pier to Santa Monica Pier with stops at Venice Beach Skate Park, Venice Beach Roller Skate Dance Plaza, Windward Plaza, Venice Beach Boardwalk in VENICE, CA, and multiple beach parks between Venice Fishing Pier and Santa Monica Pier???

ITINERARY:

1. Meeting location and time:

Meeting time: 3:30 PM PST

Please meet at the entrance to the Venice Fishing Pier near The Venice Whaler located at:

Venice, CA 90292

Some attendees may be running late, so we can wait 15-20 minutes for those that may be running late.

The members may chat, mingle, socialize, and get to know each other better.

Suggested Activities:

2. Venice Fishing Pier Skating Tour

We can set out on SKATES (Rollerblades or Rollerskates) from the meeting point at the entrance to the Venice Fishing Pier towards the Ocean Front Walk path along the beach to begin the SKATING Tour.

We skate north on the Ocean Front Walk path from Venice Fishing Pier towards Windward Plaza in Venice. The group may break at Windward Plaza to check out the activities at the Venice Beach Skate Park.

We can participate in some SKATE DANCING at the Venice Beach Roller Skate Dance Plaza which has music, a DJ, and Skate Dance Instructors from 3 PM to Sunset on Saturdays and Sundays.

I have personally participated in the Venice Beach Skate Park AND Venice Beach Roller Skate Dance Plaza activities It is VERY FUN!!!,

We can stop anytime to rest and recover from the rigors of skating.

The group may observe the activities on Venice Beach, absorb the magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean and coastal mountains, review the architecture of the myriad buildings along

Venice Beach, socialize, mingle, and get to know each other better.

3. Windward Plaza at Venice Beach to Santa Monica Pier

The group then sets out north on the Ocean Front Walk Path towards Santa Monica Pier.

We can break at the following locations: Ocean View Park, Barnard Way Park, Dorothy Green Park, Crescent Bay Park, and finally Santa Monica Pier.

4. Santa Monica Pier

After the skate group tours along the beach we reach the Santa Monica Pier where the group can rest, have some water, a snack, review the activities around the Santa Monica Pier area, and continue to chat, mingle, and socialize.

We then skate south from Santa Monica Pier to the Venice Fishing Pier on the Ocean Front Walk path to complete the skating tour experience at the Venice Fishing Pier.

We can skate to the end of the Venice Fishing Pier.

The group can observe the magnificent Pacific Ocean and stunning coastal views of the beach and the mountains ON SKATES!!!

The group may reflect on the Pier to Pier (Venice Fishing Pier to Santa Monica Pier) Skating Tour to discuss the next skating tour.

The SKATE group may discuss and decide as a group what activities to participate.

Then we proceed on SKATES per the agreed upon itinerary discussed by the group.

Please bring enough water for approximately a 2 - 3 mile LEVEL SKATE along the Ocean Front Walk path and some snack items to consume during the skating event.

This skating event is not meant to exhaust the attendees; it is just a light, easy, level skate to enjoy the views of the Pacific Ocean, the views of the coast, and review the architecture of the buildings along the coast, get some exercises, mingle, socialize, and get to know the other members.
