U.S. Figure Skating, in partnership with Visit Wichita and Big Brothers Big Sisters, is hosting a SkateFest presented by Credit Union of America on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Wichita Ice Center.
SkateFests are an opportunity for members of the skating community to learn to skate for free. All ages and skill levels are welcome.
There will be four sessions (10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.) Each session includes a 30-minute group lesson followed by practice time and a group photo
We will have 2022 Olympian Kaitlin Hawayek in attendance. Kaitlin will be on the ice assisting with lessons and will be doing meet and greets during the SkateFest
There will also be food trucks in attendance to try some of the delicious local food
