Pablo Sanhueza is ‘Kansas City’s Heart & Soul of Latin Music.’ Since, 2001, he has dedicated his distinguished career to the music of the Latin American experience, performing in Europe, South America, the American Southwest, Midwest, and Kansas City’s Historic 18th & Vine Jazz District. Sanhueza founded the Kansas City Latin Jazz Orchestra & the Latin Jazz Institute (US-Chile) (2018) and the Kansas City-Chile Jazz Exchange (2014). In 2022, he worked as Musical Director for Tito Puente Jr. and was a featured artist at the Charles Mingus Centennial Jazz Festival in Nogales, Arizona. As a local artist with global impact, Sanhueza has presented for several US Department of State initiatives and annual International Jazz Day celebrations since 2014. Sanhueza was the featured presenter at the 50th Anniversary Gala for the Kansas Hispanic & Latino American Affairs Commission June 2024.
