Please join us at Berkeley's beautiful Hillside Club for a lovely evening of music from talented local female artists. This will be an in-the-round style performance with each artist taking turns playing one song at a time throughout the evening. Invite your friends and spread the word to help us raise funds for women in need of abortion care. All proceeds from the event will go directly to the National Network of Abortion Funds.

Maggie Forti is a singer-songwriter, recording artist, and studio session vocalist with work that spans decades. Maggie plays solo and collaborates frequently with a wide-range of talented musicians. She's the founder and member Wildcat Canyon, (an all women troubadour group), and of Three Rivers band who perform frequently around the Bay Area. Maggie has a Prof. Music B.A. from Berklee College of Music. She’s a voice & songwriting teacher and consultant who co-facilitates a “Free Your Voice & Embodied Groove Workshop." “Maggie’s melodic songs serve as the perfect vehicle for a stunning voice that will chill your spine with its beauty and emotion. Sara Glaser has been writing original songs since the end of the last millenium, with subjects running the gamut from the pandemic and the California fires, to peace and war, to story songs about a burned out Nashville songwriter, a besotted firebug, an ex-lover lookalike, and an itinerant banjo player. She released an album of original songs, Cinders in the Wind, in 2022 and is currently working on a second recording. Sara grew up in a musical family, then ran away from home to sing with The Hanes Family for eight years, headlining at the Freight & Salvage and other venues. An organizer of Pacific Songwriting Camp (songcamps.org), Sara is an active member of the East Bay’s Hoot! community and participates in songwriting groups in the Bay Area and around the country.

Karma Thorner has an incredible voice that is at once angelic and sultry. She has been lucky enough to sing and play music for most of her life, with many joyous opportunities to perform in opera and operetta, musical theatre and jazz, as well as rock bands and solo shows. She has been involved with the HOOT! musical community for over a decade where she has grown tremendously as a musician and had the pleasure of collaborating with talented musician friends. Karma also teaches healthy speech technique, singing, and drama.

Bekah Barnett is an operatically trained vocalist and singer-songwriter. Her soulful and honest music will take your breath away. Her piano driven, folk-pop songs are equal parts charming, tender, and clever. She has been writing songs for over 20 years, is a regular in the HOOT! musical community, and has played at local venues like the Freight and Salvage, Awaken Cafe, the Back Room, and the Monkey House. She has released two solo albums, Rise and Find Shelter Here, that are available across streaming services. She has a music video for her song Hello in There that is connected to an ongoing fundraiser for suicide prevention.
